Hello everyone. Looking for a little technical advice. I have a number of Beta SP tapes that I need to convert to digital files. I plan on getting a Beta playback deck - looking on eBay for that- and need the most efficient and inexpensive way to do the conversion. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

It should be straightforward, but you can always go to a cine/video centric forum and do some searches there. Maybe cinematography.com would be a good place to start. There are cheap USB A/D video converters that work okay, but you should get used to their quirks, if any. For example, know how to get the audio input levels right.
