Everyone Loves Raymond or the Sopranos Born in 1955 Toronto, Canada, it’s basically the story of an Italian Canadian boy growing up in Toronto's Little Italy neighbourhood. The neighbourhood is similar to any of New York’s Italian neighbourhoods or any of those in the USA. We say; "If you are an Italian growing up in an Italian neighbourhood, your life will resemble a cast member for the Soprano's or Everyone Loves Raymond. There is no other choice. Before he hit his teens, he grew up reflecting a member of Everyone Loves Raymond, working 3 jobs a day and a good Catholic boy. At 13, we watch as he transforms his life by admiring the local Wiseguys. His changes begin by hanging around with a gang of other Italian kids. They play sports and shared stories of the abuse their parents took from Mangia Cakes, (Cake Eaters or Canadians) Their parents were called Wops, Greaseballs etc. It was the late 60’s during the peak of the Hippie Age & they looked for revenge at school dances. Most of their victims were young hippies wearing the tie-dye t-shirts. These were the times rich in Hallucination drugs, Love and Peace. Our young Italian gang mimic their heroes, the Wiseguys in their styles of Walk, dress attire & manners. At 13, they steal the Limousines from funeral homes & flash themselves by driving up to popular nightclubs in downtown Toronto. We watch 15 young Italian boys come out of their Limo, dressed like Wise Guys & acting like Wise Guys & flashing their wads of cash. Mimicking the draft picks, the older Mob guys start recruiting the gang & instead of selling the drugs, they begin using them starting from Hallucinations to Heroin before they hit 16. Our young Italian gets caught in a huge undercover heroin roundup. He gets penitentiary time. He is the fourth youngest inmate. He was streetwise but was new to Jail life. He begins his jail term feeling lucky. The Jail was overcrowded & he thinks he is put in a range full of girls. He never met Dry Queens on the street. He gets moved soon & brags to Wise Guys. They get a big laugh, “Dem Broads are Dry Queens kid. Like a son they watch his back as our young Italian survives, incident after incident. Jails become his second home as he keeps going in and out for the next 15 years due to his compulsive Heroin addict. . I’m getting rescued not arrested. He claimed to be the biggest Heroin addict in Toronto. At 30 he is looking at 20 years for a drug charge. God Held Him Back His life is at the bottom of all bottoms & plans an escape from the courthouse where he was going to trial every day. That morning when he plans to escape, he changes from his jailhouse blues to his Wise guy suit. They overpower the guard and grab the keys and our Jail Bird is a mere few feet from freedom. He freezes not from fear like something is holding him back. He tells his co-accused to leave without him. He can't figure out what happened, he doesn't understand as he goes back to his jail cell. The news of the escape is all over the news. He tells the other inmates that he doesn't want to talk about it because he can't make any sense of it. His co-accused gets caught 10 days later, and the verdict gets delivered 2 months later. Not Guilty. He can't believe it. But he is in a state of confusion, big changes are happening, and he can't understand it. He begins praying at night listening to the TV Gospels, wanting to be saved by talking to the TV as if he as really there. 2 years later he finds his way to drug treatment, he is ready to change. He had to go for a 2-year program because there are a lot of changes to make. We watch him as he begins his recovery journey and struggles with words like feelings, honesty but his Wiseguy/Drug lifestyles begin shedding. Italian Style Recovery. He now is a changed person and wants to start another gang, an Italian gang of Recovery. In the late 80's he becomes a pioneer in drug advocacy by opening up the first Narcotics Anonymous meeting in Toronto. Its real Recovery, one day at a time, but Italian style making big distinguishes from your average person recovering. He films his recovery. He would often say "the difference between an Alcoholic and an Addict is An Alcoholic will rob and steal from you. An Addict will rob and steal from you, and then help you look for it. In 1995, Our Drug Crusader finds out he needs a liver transplant, it was due to his previous drug lifestyle. He has hours left. A liver becomes available, and after the surgery, he wakes up speaking to God. God tells him he has another mission for him. He will walk across Canada and thank his anonymous donor carrying the Torch Of Life and we will wake up the world about the organ shortage. God told him oh by the way it was I who held you back in 1984, so I could prepare you for this mission. The Italian Terry Fox is born He Walks Across Canada & Passes the Torch Of Life to St John Paul II Inexperienced with media & other factors needed to build his charity & his campaign, he relies on his recovery friends. Is Canada ready for him and his recovery friends? Communities prepared for the guy who is walking across Canada to promote organ donations & they expect to see a blond haired, all Canadian boy. Instead, they are apprehensive when they see and hear this Italian wise guy speak aided by his road team of hoods. His passion is overwhelming and wins everyone over. His manipulative & charming ways inspire the Government officials & have a unique way with the media. His brilliant walk convinces the Premier of Ontario to invest 120 million dollars & receive the attention of Saint John Paul II. On September 5, 2001, at Vatican City, the Pope receives him and blesses the Torch in front of 75,000 and hundreds of media cameras. God speaks to him through the Pope and says pass the Torch to the children. He wakes up the world. He goes back to Canada preparing to go viral. Everyone wants to interview him from Talk Shows in the USA to big Celebrities. Then 9/11 happens & his world status quickly disappears as if it never happened. He finishes his 2-year walk on a quiet note. He has powerful adversaries who see an easy target & continue revealing to the powers that he was a Heroin Addict & Convict. They steal everything he earned including the 120 million dollars. The Italian Terry Fox and The Redneck Family Trek Across Canada He curses God, ready to give up, then young Kris comes into his life. He is a 12-year-old admirer who needed a liver transplant & wanted to carry the Torch. One day he almost dies. He contacts his hero, he wants to carry the Torch. God speaks through a vision of the Pope saying pass the Torch to the children. He obeys and takes this young boy and his Redneck swearing family under his wing. He arranges a 200 city torch tour across Canada. Kristopher's Wish, the year-long trek is full of dark comedy as this time the community hears that a 13-year-old boy is carrying the Torch of Life across Canada. They see a young Justin Bieber lookalike and fall in love with him, but they are suspect of the Italian Wiseguy, The Redneck father and Black hoodlum who serve as his road team. Kris gets worldwide attention & every day gets swarmed by hordes of young girls like a young rock star. However, his adversaries continued making his life miserable & they finish the year-long campaign on a quiet note. He claims these people are the Devil. The Student Torch Relay Across Canada & USA He curses God & goes back to Italy to visit the Pope. Sadly, the Pope dies, & our organ crusader is stricken with another terminal disease. He is in Paris, France with weeks left to live. He escapes from to the hospital to die in Canada. On July 28, 2005, his 50th birthday, he receives another liver. After the surgery, he wakes up God speaks to him. I planned your escape from the hospital, so you could receive another liver & continue passing the Torch to students. He obeys and organizes over a 1000 students to relay the Torch in Canada & USA. We follow our organ crusader as he trains all these students to become Torch Champions & carry the Torch in their communities, talking to media & politicians. He uses his charm to convinces Homeland Securities, the Buffalo & Toronto Police, with a first class escort from Canada to the USA. He receives support from many high-profile US Government officials, including Obama & Sarah Palin in Alaska. He brings Democrats & Republicans together with his healthy manipulative ways. He is going viral again. His adversaries continue to spread their venom to the USA and he has to abort his amazing campaign Washington DC for fear of losing his house. Palestinians & Israeli Hope through Organ Donations In 2011, he plans to end his journey. God has a new mission for him & speaks through an Afghan Canadian Student Torch Champion. Through Shaheem he contacts Ismail Khatib. In 2005, his 12-year-old son Ahmed was killed by Israeli Soldier. Ismail donates Ahmed’s organs to 6 Israeli kids. It's difficult to bring Ismail to Canada & we watch our hustler convince the Israeli Embassy by bringing an American famous donor dad to join Ismail in a 5 Canadian City Torch Tour. The campaign is called the Donor Dads. Ismail brings his 19-year-old son Khaled with him. During this time Ismail's film "The Heart Of Jenin" wins all kinds of European film awards. Admirers like Leonardo Di Caprio, Roger Waters, Sir Ben Kingsly to name a few. Ismail becomes known as the Palestinian Gandhi. Hollywood prepares a film, & Nicholas wants to play the serious role of Ismail who he looks like. Sadly politics stop the production. There wasn't an Israeli narrative. After the spectacular Donor Dads, George agrees to look after Ismail's son Khaled. He creates a 72 city Ontario torch tour for Khaled to promote the newly created organ registry. Khaled becomes a Canadian Hero. George prays for an Israeli narrative. Midway in the Ontario campaign, an Israeli mother Marsha Gladstone contacts George. She is inspired by Khaled & George's journey. Her story inspired the world.. Her 19-year-old son was killed by a Palestinian Suicide Bomber. She donated Yoni Jessner’s kidney to a young Palestinian girl. George thanks God for this amazing union. George brings Marsha and her 19-year-old daughter Yael to Canada. He arranges to have Marsha & Yael join Khaled on the final day of his 5-month tour. They carry the Torch together in downtown Toronto to the finish line at Queen’s Park. Our hero passes out 2 blocks before the finish line. He curses God as watches the event in a hospital bed. He misses out on making his event viral. Why God, why. It seems he always comes so close into going globally viral. Something keeps preventing that next step. Illness Strikes Again Our hero passed out from the beginning of his kidney illness. He created another dozen projects for Khaled, including a 500-kilometre walk in freezing weather. He walked in February suffering with Pneumonia to find his friend Anthony Socci a kidney. In 2014, our hero is hospitalized. After going in and out of hospital he gets told he has terminal kidney disease. In 2018 he has 10% of kidney function left survives on Dialysis. His future is uncertain, God spoke to him again and told him to write a book about his entire life. Our hero goes back to his Italian neighbourhood to announce his book launch. He holds it at St Chad’s the church where he spiritually grew and the place that led to the 23 year Step By Step journey Does God have any more plans for him on earth or will this take place after his death. He wants his book to turn into a dark comedy film. He was inspired by the film I Tonya By the way That former Heroin Addict, Convict, Wise Guy, Drug & Organ Crusader Italian is me, and I swear everything I said is the truth and nothing but the truth and more. I have overwhelming proof. I filmed my entire journey from 1986 to the present.
