Introduce Yourself : Hello from a Tasmanian filmmaker by Jeff Kirkland

Hi all, I’m a writer, producer, director, cinematographer based in Hobart, Tasmania but have worked throughout Australia and the rest of the world. While I’ve had almost 30 years experience in the corporate video world, it’s only in the last two or three years I’ve become involved in narrative filmmaking and worked as either gaffer or cinematographer on five short films over the last 12 months.

Right now I’m on a mission to produce four short films over the next year to develop my skills as a filmmaker, and with the goal of using those skills to make a low budget feature in 2020. The first of those short films, "Pursuant", which I wrote and directed, is currently in post production.

I’m looking forward to getting to know other members of this online community.
