I am a Los Angeles-based screenwriter/director/producer. My experience in the entertainment industry spans over 20 years with credits on stage and screen productions ranging from costume designer to makeup artist to special effects makeup. This year, I have completed three feature-length screenplays, one of which has been optioned, one was written on spec for a producer, and the other was just for fun! As the Republican Party is unified under the Alt Right’s merciless persecution of immigrants and the Democratic Party is showing every day evidence that they are willing to drop the immigration issue (from the Third Way memo before the elections to Clinton’s declarations in Europe a couple of days ago), the future looks dark. Worse, a significant part of the people we need to persuade to prevent that outcome live in the Fox News bubble that not even the best piece of journalism or documentary can penetrate. Nevertheless, my project could. It is a completely new way of presenting immigration, totalitarianism and political apathy that could change the perceptions on these issues, especially immigration.
So, I would like to invite you to team up with me as producer for this project. I have covered completely the creative part of a series that can change the perceptions on the issues that are at the center of our hearts and I can send immediately to you or to whom you consider appropriate the documents backing my words. This is the project for a producer who:
- is not afraid of something really new. As everything that is new, it’s risky, but it could be rewarding as other safe bets could not.
- is not afraid of stories of social and political content. My work is not partisan. It has honest and dishonest liberals and conservatives.
- likes stories that could make a difference. Due to my academic and social background, I can bring the tone that other, at least so far, have not.
I am not requesting money advances or anything that could be misinterpreted as a scam. I am just a nobody who has written a series that could be the best next thing but knows nobody in this field and the best time to produce this project is right now.
