I was wondering if anyone had any successes submitting LGBTQ-themed screenplays anywhere? All my other shorts and features are getting bites, but my three LGBTQ scripts aren't getting any bites. I know the tolerance level in the US is still shaky, so I tried to submit my scripts to agents in the UK where they are more tolerant. They responded that they do accept the scripts but because I live in the US it would be hard for them to represent me due to expense on traveling back and forth to meetings. I plan on entering the script into a contest but I wanted other options.

Hey Nikki, have you considered submitting your projects for consideration in television? There are a number of networks, studios and streamers that could potentially be a better fit for your projects than the feature film market. Feel free to reach out to me at j.mirch@stage32.com if you have further questions. I am happy to help!
I appreciate the help. Kay Luke I have virtualpitchfest on favorite so I'll give that a shot. Tyler Christensen I am up for any piece of information. I have that on my list too. Dan Guardino I made a list of the production companies who made Moonlight and Pariah. Hopefully, they are accepting submissions.
Build a network with LGBTQ+ filmmakers near you. It's a very small circle. And,people talk. Also, crowdsource. Let your local LGBTQ+ community know what you're up to.
There are a couple of LGBT festivals. People with an interest in this community will probably engage with those festivals.
im in the same potion as you
Nikki April Lee , @Richard - FilmFreeway.com is searchable for LGBTQ festivals. There are plenty of them! :)
