Hi, I'm new to Stage32. Forgive me if this is a stupid question but where can I find inexpensive script correction and editing services? Need to have someone put my short film script into better wording and insure it's formatted properly.

I've sent you a private message :)
Thank you both! If anyone else can chime in with more writer recommendations - please do so!
Besides script editing we'll need more help.
We shot a short and will need to develop it into a feature soon, so we'd need a writer who would resonate with the story very well.
Tell me about your short - is it a film or just a skit?
It's a short, about 6 min long. Fantasy/Drama. I'm not a writer myself... thus seeking help here. Logline and synopsis needs to be written properly as well... Voiceover dialogs (monologs) need to be carefully worded. The film is currently in post production. Long term plan is to turn it into a trailer for a featured.
This is one of the actual shots.
Behind the scenes
So... you're into post and you want someone to smooth out your script?
Doug, that is correct. I don't need the script to be modified but simply to be properly organized for English speaking part or the crew as it was written in a foreign language, this being an international project.
I hope you don't think that there something wrong with it. Otherwise, you don't have to reply here.
I just don't understand: The shoot has wrapped, the footage is in post - that suggests that you're finished with the script so why bother rewriting it now (unless you're going to reshoot the entire project)?

There's a script format called "CCSL" (Combined Continuity Spotting List). It's basically an exact transcript of a finished movie with timecode stamps, camera shot lists, actors' dialogue, ADR effects.
When you sell a movie, some distributors want a CCSL document for making subtitles, voice dubbing,
It was shot overseas on a very short notice and the script was in a foreign language. Now some US based team members need to know the story very well in order to work on what they need to work on with relation to the film. Editing is not compete so I can't write CCSL. So they need a proper script instead of my verbal explanation.
Also, there's an off screen monolog that was only outlined in the original script with an intention to be polished later because it doesn't affect the story since there's no lips synching and stuff like that.
I hope this clarifies things. I was going to explain all that in my communication with the writer/editor while the purpose of this post was to simply ask where I could get such help.

Hi, You can also try posting it as a job listing here on Stage32 (if you haven't done so). I think this helps you find more interested editors in your project.
Marleen, thanks! I'm new here so....
Stanislav hi, I can help you edit it - I write and edit in two languages (English and Russian). The technical polish of a script is usually the easiest bit, what is more difficult is editing and working on logic, style, and also coherence of a story which requires more time and effort.
