I've been writing for 25 years - almost all of that time was writing audio dramas, but in 2016 I put them on the back-burner and started to write screenplays. It took a long time of trial and error to learn formatting and "unlearning" audio writing; but I used books recommended by other writers (some of them from this site), and finally got a "recommend" on a script that got many, many, passes before. I learned a lot, and I'm still learning. So far I've sold two screenplays; one begins shooting in the fall, and another was set for April 6th in LA - but of course, that will be pushed back, I'm sure - but I can wait! I'm still having "pinch me, is it real" moments, lol! Working on a horror now, and hope to have a first draft completed soon.
Wow, Jerry congratulations on your 2 script sales! that's wonderful! Did you meet anyone through Stage 32 with them?

Thank you, Amanda. The first sale was through Script Revolution, and the second was Inktip. I have another script via Inktip that is in a shop agreement with a producer/director team who pitched it to Netflix along with several other scripts from other writers; Netflix chose mine to read - so now I'm waiting to hear if there's good news or a "pass." I've done a bunch of pitches on Stage32, but so far just a lot of "passes," but I'm the first to admit I'm not the best pitcher in the world lol! I'm always working on it.

Totally get it Jerry Robbins. Congrats on all your great success! Jason Mirch is always available if you have questions about pitching! j.mirch@stage32.com
Hey Jerry! Congrats on all your success. Pitching is definitely its own art form. There is a great FREE webinar on Stage 32 you might consider checking out:
https://www.stage32.com/webinars/Nick-and-Allen-In-The-Stage-32-Writers-Room
My colleague Nick and former colleague Allen discuss pitching tips. There are also a TON of other great webinars on pitching in our Next Level Education. Also, I am always happy to recommend someone who is right to give feedback on your pitch and project. Good luck! Look forward to hearing from you!
Thanks, Jason. I'll check it out. I always do written pitches; have yet to do one on Skype - I don't have the set-up for that.
