Hello Everyone. I'm living in China and I have been through two months of mask wearing, hand-washing, "serious social distancing" and two, 14 day self-quarantines. (First one in Inner Mongolia. Second one in Shanghai.)
I'm the directing instructor at the Shanghai Vancouver Film School and classes were first cancelled on February 3. We were suppose to start classes on March 3 (and then again on April 7) but we just heard that all schools and universities have postponed classes again until MAY - by order of the Shanghai Government. We have been teaching online classes since February 24 and we now have to create and teach more online classes through April. In China there is one simple rule: when the government says "shut everything down and self-quarantine" - 1.4 billion people do it almost overnight! That is not going to happen where you live! So here is my simple advice for those of you now going through this world pandemic for the first time: It's serious - it's spreading - and it's up to you to help stop it with "serious social distancing."
Stay calm and be safe. :)Peter

We are now teaching many of our "lecture" classes online. Plus creating several more that work online. But we still need to to teach the live workshops when the students come back to class. :)
