Hi folks,
I have not been at a film market yet, and this year, Cannes will launch the market virtually. This might be my first attempt at the market with a feature film. I think I will just dive in and learn as much as possible from the experience.
So..What do I need to have prepared for the meetings?
I am creating pitch decks for my projects.
What would you include in your deck?
What is the best way to approach distributors and other producers with projects?
I have many. many more questions, and I think this is the right fora to ask them.

Have a wonderful weekend!

I didn't understand how the virtual meetings work. How do you connect to Buyers/Producers online when they don't know you? Do you need to do a live powerpoint presentation online? It seems Agencies are the gates keepers/brokers in this virtual world. Same as before the pandemic.

Dan ~ Couldn't you could go through Cinando.com first to narrow down the companies that you have serious interest in, then send them a query intro online along with a request to make a virtual presentation later that fit their schedule?

Erik A. Jacobson I guess but why even go through Cannes website Portal? Just query/have your reps set up a meeting whenever. Article doesn't say if this virtual Cannes has any payment fees.
True. Mid-July is apparently the business-as-usual goal.
Thanks for the reply, Erik A. Jacobson and Dan MaxXx , are you using Cinando for your projects? I have heard producers talk about it before.
Ole-André Rønneberg never used Cinando. That's above my pay grade. Only been to American Film Market in Los Angeles selling schlock / straight to dvd consumer. Played with small players versus Agency controlled Mega-Companies.
