Introduce Yourself : Ted Sterner Actor, Screenwriter, Acting Coach by Ted Sterner

Ted Sterner

Ted Sterner Actor, Screenwriter, Acting Coach

Hello! My name is Ted Sterner.  I'm an Atlanta, GA local.  I left New England to pursue my dreams of experiencing the industry on a more permanent basis.  I have been trained in acting, to some extent, in Boston, New York and finally ended up with Rod Rowland Coaching.  I attend studios from time to time to keep sharp. I love to coach using my own method just to see the ah ha moments on peoples faces and see their awe when the tapes play back after a few weeks.   I have booked some great gigs for being a non-union actor.  I have experience in film, television, digital media, radio, print and some V.O. work.  Love every exciting minute of it.  The first short I produced is currently in post in CT.  I am looking to produce another low budget but high quality short here in Atlanta for something like Crypt Keeper or Creepy Pasta.  I have three copy right protected scripts written for low budget production.  I enjoy this crazy ride building different characters ranging from a gentle grandfather to a drug addict.  I love to collaborate and appreciate you all for being here though I think my network will mostly be comprised of folks local to me. Peace.

Hey, Ted Sterner! My name is Kay, I'm the Community Manager here at Stage 32. Nice to meet you! Wow, congrats on jumping into the industry with both feet, that's awesome! Are things picking back up in Atlanta? Since you mentioned building different characters, LET'S PLAY A GAME! If you could play any character, who would it be and why? Clearly there's no time limit on it, so it could be the lead from Casablanca if you wish.

I’m sure you’ve already discovered the Screenwriting Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/screenwriting), but definitely reach out on the Acting Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/acting) for insight into characters, dialogue, and even when you want to generate interest in a virtual table read!
