I'm Chris H. Stevenson (pen name Christy J. Breedlove) and I write SF, fantasy, YA, thriller, suspense, adventure, paranormal and romance. I've received five awards, three just recently for my Screamcatcher series which is YA fantasy/horror/adventure. I'm going for a book-to-movie deal, since I've had some film insiders suggest that I quickly take that route. I'm assembling the pitch deck and I've got my screenwriter lined up, analyzing the specifics. The problem is, and no disrespect at all, that I don't think this is a fit for any independent or small producer. A director told me that the CGI and location shooting for this project would approach Avatar expenses. This means companies like Disney and Universal. Now I doubt if anyone in here has ties like that (unless the connection is paid for), and I would LOVE to be proven wrong. This is an extremely tough business to break into, and I have no delusions or false impressions about my potential. But I have to be realistic. If anyone would like a log line, I'll be happy to pop one to you. Blessed wishes during these tremulous times--stay safe and healthy--Chris (ETA: My agent is Sara Camilli)
Hi, Jeff. How are you? I'll give you a snappy salute via your email.
Dang! I wonder why my message to you went poof? I'll try again. Hi, Jeff, yes been a while. I'll give you a snappy salute via your provided email. Yep, I've had Sara as my agent for eight years, with TriadaUS before that and Richard Curtis from way back in 1988 to 1991.
