So, I watched the entire MCU in this quarantine and was inspired to write a superhero movie myself. I wrote my first screenplay and it wasn't what I was expecting (it was horrible). BUT, since it was a superhero based screenplay, it had a lot of action sequences and "COOL" stuff but the fundamentals were not good. The characters didn't have personality and the storyline wasn't working. It felt like stuff was just going on the screen, like it was not leading anywhere.
Now, I'm working on my second screenplay. I learnt from my mistakes and I feel like I've improved a lot. My story is going somewhere and the characters feel more 3D, but there isn't any "COOL" stuff in this screenplay. I feel it lacks ACTION and so I feel that my screenplay might turn out to be BLAND.
I was just curious that has it ever happened with any of you, where you wrote a low-mediocre screenplay with "COOL" stuff but not a good story and when you wrote a good screenplay with not a lot of "COOL" stuff, you felt that it might not work or look INTERESTING?

Hi Van, Have you ever thought about getting a co writer? Someone that can help feel in the gaps . Someone that provides the things that your missing when writing. Besides a project can move quicker with other eyes on it as well as pushing it to thru the industry. Good luck my friend.
Thanks Cornell for the advice :)
Thanks Julia and Ismael :)
