Ready to change things up for 2021!!!

New Hustle and Energy Driving things forward. I believe many of us have had the chance to work on goals and accomplishments in 2020 in order to step into a new phase in 2021. I haven't been on this site in this capacity and wanted to say HEY!!!

I am actively working on developing my acting career and get my TV series into production. I believe everything has it's divine time. I am based in NYC, a Latinx (Cuban and Puerto Rican first generation) with a strong desire to spread positive energy and impactful messages through my artistic and spiritual gifts! Looking to build new fruitful relationships where we all can mutually bring to reality our deepest manifestations.

Karen "Kay" Ross

Hey, Jeanette Villafane! My name is Kay, I'm the Community Manager here at Stage 32. If you'd like to learn more about myself and the Stage32 Team, please enjoy our intro blog: https://www.stage32.com/blog/Meet-the-Stage-32-Team Nice to meet you and welcome to the community! Ooo, YES, two of my favorite places (my childhood tía was Cuban)!

You've definitely come to the right place for your pilot! Is it a comedy by chance? We've got a Comedy Screenwriting Contest that you still have time to enter it in: https://www.stage32.com/happy-writers/contests/6th-Annual-Comedy-Writing... We just announced the winner of our first annual Diversity Springboard Screenwriting Contest, but that would be a good one for your pilot as well. Also, if you chose Script Coverage by an Industry Reader ( https://www.stage32.com/scriptservices/coverage/buy?id=23&affid=mjm) AND you receive a double recommend (both Writer and Script), then your script will automatically go into a lookbook for our executives.

I’m sure you’ve already discovered the Screenwriting Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/screenwriting), but definitely reach out on the Acting Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/acting) for insight into characters, dialogue, and even when you want to generate interest in a virtual table read! Table reads have been a great tool during the lockdown to get collaborators excited for production.

Keep in mind that these lounges are like the VIP Filmmaker's Lounges at Film Festivals, so this is where you can meet the people doing the work, get advice on anything you're working on, and/or give back to those who may need advice. We're a very supportive and encouraging community! I think you'd also enjoy my intro blog post on how to engage with the Stage32 Community:

Enjoy exploring the lounges, and don't forget to comment and respond to others’ posts, too! It's the best way to really connect! And, of course, feel free to reach out at any time. Cheers!
