Director, Writer, Producer -- Sequence 8 Creative
I was born in the Bronx in 1984. I studied Film at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Prior to film school, I had the great privilege to intern for Oscar-winning director, Jonathan Demme. I've worked with Golden Globe-winning Producers, Christopher Goode and Kerry Orent on numerous productions including: Tony Gilroy’s, "Duplicity"; David Chase’s, "Not Fade Away"; Scott Frank’s, "A Walk Among the Tombstones"; AMC’s, "Rubicon"; Showtime’s, "The Affair", and Jodie Foster’s, "Money Monster."
My first short film, "Early Learnings" qualified for the Academy Award for Best Live Action Short in 2015. The film premiered in the fall of 2014 at the Sundance Sunset Cinemas in West Hollywood, California. "Early Learnings" had its NYC Theatrical Premiere at the legendary Anthology Film Archives in December 2015. My original one-hour TV pilot, "Prodigal Son" was a semi-finalist in the 2015 Sundance Episodic Storytelling Lab, and in the 2014 Final Draft Big Break Screenwriting Competition – ranking in the top 60 out of 7,000 submissions.I'm currently developing multiple projects across all platforms, including the feature film, "God and Famous", the first "Neo-80s Psycho-Surreal Fairy Tale"; a satire that explores art, fame, success, race, personal identity and the collective consciousness in the social-media age. Spencer Grammer (Rick and Morty) is attached to play the female lead. I also serve as the Director of Photography on Emmett Lundberg’s groundbreaking web series: "Brothers."
In 2018, I graduated from Seattle Recording Arts with a certificate in Audio Engineering. I'm a member of the Recording Academy’s Pacific Northwest Chapter and serve as a District Advocate. I primarily work as a freelance sight and sound artist in Seattle and NYC.
I likes long walks in the woods and cashews; I dislikes mean people and raisins :)
I currently live in Seattle with my wife, renowned figurative artist, Aleah Chapin and our cat, Madeline and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Juniper!
I split my time between Seattle and NYC. Hit me up, let's make some cool stuff together!
PEACE & LOVE :)
It seem you have done some great things and I love Seattle. Do you have any amazing scripts you can't wait to shoot?
Thanks, Kacper! I do have a one or two scripts that I can't wait to shoot, but things are at a stand still due to the Covid pandemic. On the plus side, this "down" time has allowed for room to develop new ideas and stories :)
I'll be sure to contact Skylark Bliss next time I'm working on a project in the LA-area!
