I am an Emmy Award Winning Producer, but the reality world is new to me. I have a new high-octane docu-series concept, sizzler, and pilot ready to go, but I’m having trouble figuring out where to go with it now. Any advice in this world?
Thanks, Maurice. We’ve had a lot of fun working on it so far. We wanted to avoid the typical reality show look and feel, so we’re going much more high-end, with a focus on these incredible drivers and their families.
Hey, Joey! It sounds like you need feedback from a professional in the unscripted realm. Unscripted doesn't have a pilot script the same way narrative does, so I would suggest a Pitch Deck Review from someone like Catherine Keithley who has worked on a wide range of unscripted programs. Definitely reach out to our Director of Script Services, Jason Mirch, who is excellent at matching projects with potential executives (or producers, in your case): J.Mirch@stage32.com
Dan MaxXx I worked for Pilgrim on several productions as well (mostly in Vegas) over the years. My understanding of what Joe wants is to be the producer. Pilgrim doesn't do that to my knowledge, they purchase the idea and run with it. If he wants to produce it in house, he needs to get to the network proper.

Hi, Joey. I like the poster. Do you have a pitch deck?

We’ve got a pitch deck, sizzler, and are putting the finishing touches on the pilot.

You're welcome. I think the part "with a focus on these incredible drivers and their families" will keep people invested in the series.

Thanks so much Kay! I appreciate the help. I’ll shoot Jason an email.

Look up Heather Hale, she's a member here and is experienced in unscripted.
