I'm part of the team which has just completed the dramatic feature, Silver Carnation, which I was both the cinematographer and editor. This is my fifth feature and last one is currently on Netflix.
This is my first time getting involved on the distribution side - and I need help! We are trying to navigate getting our film in front of the major OTT platforms for consideration, but we can't get past the gatekeepers.
Does anyone have any strategies or suggestion on how to submit your film to Netflix, Amazon, Hulu or other OTT platforms.
Silver Carnation is a foreign language (Farsi), narrative drama that follows the life of the Iranian equivalent of Johnny Carson, Fereydoun Farrokhzad, who was assassinated by Ayatollah Khomeini's henchman after the Irainian Revolution. Fereydoun Farrokhzad is still very well known and respected in the Irainan communities throughout the world, so there is a large built-in audience.
Hey, Scott! Thanks for reaching out! First off, super interesting story! I can definitely see this finding a home on Netflix! Definitely reach out to our Director of Script Services, Jason Mirch, who is excellent at matching projects with potential executives: J.Mirch@stage32.com
Thanks Karen! I'll reach out to Jason.
You are most welcome, Scott!
