Hello everyone! I'm Sheila.
I'm a budding screenwriter/author based in the US and joined Stage32 in hopes to make some long-lasting connections and friendships and gain knowledge on the business. I don't know if age is any concern but I'm currently 23 years old and am attending a community college but will be transferring to UCSC this fall.
I am hoping to make a career out of screenwriting but I also looking to write a children's picture book to fulfill a personal goal of mine. I am interested in writing: drama, comedy, fantasy, horror, mystery but I am open to experimenting with any and all genres.
Anyways, many thanks for taking the time for reading this, and will be looking forward to interacting with you all! Best of luck on your own journeys!

Welcome! There is no age limit on creative screenwriting. The youngest person to write a produced script was 22 when they wrote the Leslie Nielsen comedy Spy Hard. Not to mention Ben Affleck was 25 when he co-wrote Good Will Hunting.
Looking forward to what you have to share. Cheers!

Hi! Nice to meet you :) Stage32 is full of awesome resources, and if you ever have any questions, feel free to get in touch! Or, even better, get in touch with Jason Mirch (j.mirch@stage32.com) - he's the Director of Script Services, and is generally just an awesome guy. If you like, come and check out the Writers' Room :)

Welcome Sheila, I'm a Dutch director and also new here. Care to have a chat as new creatives among each other? I'd love to hear about the story of why you want to write a childrens book.
