There's pitch sessions on this site that you can sign up for. Don't wait for someone to come to you. You have to do the legwork. If it were easy, we all wouldn't need sites like this one. Make contacts as well. Just put yourself and your work out there!

Hi Christine - many thanks - what concerns me is paying to pitch - maybe it's just me - but it feels counter-intuitive / possibly a scam - although I can see why, they must be bombarded with ideas - and if I am going to pay where should I start - producers, agents, film companies - or all the above - keep knocking on doors - good luck to you and once again - thanks for your advice - all the best

Hi Darren, It's more of a learning tool here. They provide feedback on your script and in my opinion, it's worth it. Also, if you pitch to producers, agents, etc. I believe you shouldn't be paying them. You pay to pitch on this site because they provide you with feedback. If you want to pitch to anyone else, just do some research, say, on IMDBpro and pitch to those who have developed scripts similar to your genre. Send them a log line and synopsis but make sure they take unsolicited material otherwise it goes in the trash. I'm sure a lot of people on this site will provide you with valuable feedback re: this topic. Good luck!!

Thanks - I've updated my profile to include a log line / synopsis on my profile page - I know I am a complete novice when it comes to this and my script is probably very shoddy / especially the dialogue - but I think the story line is very interesting and thought provoking - especially in the current climate - hollywood / metoo / power / fall from grace etc - there is quite a lot going on (I hope)
Great! I'd love to check it out! And it's a start so congrats!!
Also, make sure to register your script with the WGA.

In the end - I would like to leave the viewer with the impression that Ned could be the victim - their sympathies for him change as the story unfolds - ultimately one thinks he could be a very manipulative character - but the viewer is never 100% sure - especially with the ending - which is very different / but retains some of the essence of the original
Not sure how this idea came to me - or why - or if I am having an existential crisis of my own - or if I just need to have faith in God - maybe all of the above
