Hi fellow film-makers! I'm a London, UK director and writer with a 1000+ days on set under my belt. I thought it was time to say hi - and see what's going on! How are we all doing? What are we all up to? I've directed a load of TV, 5 Feature films and more than 20 shorts and I even directed a TV show that won a BAFTA and an EMMY Nomination, so I'm officially OK at the job. ;)
I have a Masters degree in screenwriting, from the University of the Arts, London, and worked in the camera department for many years as a 1st and 2nd AC on films like Harry Potter, Judge Dredd, and James Bond Goldeneye, and a load of TV like Robot Was and East Enders. I believe in creating the best environment on set so everyone - cast and crew can do their best work. I get award winning performances time after time.
I've written 21 feature films so far, 6 have been made, 4 optioned and 2 bought, which is a good average, and I still don't think of myself as a writer! Right now I am trying to get a few totally awesome genre projects off the ground and I'm also looking for the next project to get involved with as a director. Cheers!

Cheers... I'm an actor/writer in U.S. who has worked a bit in UK since 2013, most recently with Peter Brook in London and Paris. As a writer, I am gaining some steam from writers such as Elwood Reid (Barkskins) and LA literary manager, David Stone as well as VP of Current Series at Disney. My work is said to lean a bit more to aesthetics and audiences outside U.S.

NIce to meet you! As your next project, would you be interested in a one-of-a kind biopic?

Martin, so tactically modest while the stats say "great". Being Dutch, I get that!

Hidey Ho Martin. I just happen to have an award winning pilot and the entire season adapted from the novel 12 Seconds Short of Eternity. It is arguably the most influential story of all time, stocked with characters known in nearly every home around the world. Character driven, strong female leads, diverse and inclusive, this is a directors dream and actor's pinnacle. Give it a read and we can talk. Have a great weekend. 8 D

Hi Martin, great career so far, good luck in whatever you tackle next.
