I feel kinda silly with this post, but the first screenplay I've ever written was selected as a finalist in the Cordillera Film Festival and I plan on attending so I can do a little networking. My "silly" question is what can I expect when I get there? While I've done my share of networking events in the past, I've never been to a film fest and wonder if it's anything like the ones from the past where people are handing out business cards and the like. lol
Now that I've written the post, I can see how dumb it is. lol
I don't think it a dumb question I would really like to know as well hopefully I will get to attend one of these as well.

It's not dumb at all. I've been really active at this for a while and I still ask questions if I'm not sure what to do or expect. I think the best thing to do is just start talking to people and see who you can connect with. You'll probably start talking with someone who'll share the same interests and find ways to keep talking. You'll also find some people are totally the opposite of what you do and you can just shakes hands and go about your business. Let it happen.
Firstly try to enjoy....I guess ure newbie so don't put too much pressure on business side. Meeting people is one of great aspects of all and any FF (guessing you'll be there live). Yes, get some business cards while you mingle and put your charisma to gear, but do not be pushy. Every chance you get mention your own success (no matter how small) and your future plans.
Good luck!
It's different when you're there as a screenwriter, but I would suggest watching the Official Rejection documentary: https://www.amazon.com/Official-Rejection-Kevin-Smith/dp/B01BKWULHS/ref=...
