Celebrating 30 Years since 'Point Break' is Celebrating Female Directors

Because without Kathryn Bigelow (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000941/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0), we would not have some seriously awesome films like 'Point Break'. What other films has she done that you didn't remember were her? What other films were you surprised to see directed by females? I just learned that Black Widow was directed by a female, but that's no big surprise. SHARE BELOW!

Leonardo Girotto

One that I was surprised that was directed by a woman is the 2011 Disney Channel Original Movie Lemonade Mouth, which I think is really cool and unfortunately, out of a lot of the channel's good movies forgotten.

Dan MaxXx

KB is one of my fav all-time directors. Also Mimi Leder, who I met in a directors class, was teaching at LA Community College, the cheapest public film school in LA to attend! I did postproduction work on a tv pilot, "The Killing", directed by Patty Jenkins
