My name is Steven C. Fisher (he/him), I'm an actor, writer and filmmaker based in Los Angeles. I'm fairly new to the community here, but have been consistently inspired by S32's offerings and wanted to introduce myself and grow my network. I've been a working actor for several years (check me out on AJ and the Queen, NCIS:LA, The Middle and more), and consistently lend my voice to English dubs of foreign projects, mostly for Netflix. My unproduced living-history-reenactment workplace comedy pilot "Village People" has done well in competition, placing in the top 7% of all projects on Coverfly, and my produced pilot for my short form couples-therapy series "Good Help is So Hard to Find" has been making the global festival rounds consistently since October of last year, placing in the finalist category at several of them.
I'm in the middle of two projects at present! One is a Christmas comedy short I wrote, produced and in which I performed. We shot in quarantined pods, and the finished product will be cut in the ScreenLife style (like Aneesh Chaganty's "Searching" or Timur Bekmambetov's "Profile" and "Unfriended" series). Editing on this is.....slow going....as my current level of editing skill has run up against what I want from the project, but I'm loving how it's looking so far. The other is a script for a hidden-world fantasy/comedy about a suburban Dad trying to balance work, fatherhood, and his newfound responsibilities as the leader of a secret cabal of monster hunters. Definitely drafting stages, but it's a delightful story with a lot of heart.
I'd love to hear a bit about some of your work too. Feel free to reach me here or on ig and twitter @steve_c_fish.
