This year has been very good to me as a screenwriter. Just completed, a Drama/Mystery/ Thriller titled, Receiver. That makes a total of two completed feature specs now this year.. Life is great. My writing career is outstanding now.
Congratulations on completing your script, Clayton Dudzic, that's awesome! Is there any insight you could give into your success? A habit, a mindset, or a workflow strategy?
The idea of Receiver came to me about 6 years ago, but had to complete and polish Satan Minded, before I could begin writing the first draft of Receiver. As soon as my comedy Satan Minded was completed on June 1st this year, the following week began writing the first draft of Receiver which went from a drama straight into a drama/mystery/thriller. It was completed and polished on August 20. Early morning I block out 4 - 6 hours of writing Monday - Friday. Before any major writing begins, I write out two whole pages on yellow legal pad, Just writing out any words across the whole page. I call this my word pushups before any major writing. I'm very detailed oriented. When writing often sit together with my characters while writing the story. I use google search for everything I need for clarifying the story as well as structuring the craft. Also watching many drama films on Netflix, taught me much.
I don't ever write to create wallpaper, I write to sell. With two specs in my pocket. I'm ready to pitch them outward. I feel both will do great at the box office.
Great attitude..did you see the Jeff Bridges/Meryl Streep film adapted from the book, The Giver? I ask since its the opposite of this film's title. I'm in the early stages of outlining a Twilight Zone type series with the current working title "9Threshold"
Thanks Jonathan. My film, Receiver is based off a metaphor in a football game whereby the Receiver's main goal is to score. The main characters goal is to score with a married man to her own and will not let anything or anyone to interfere with that goal.

Congrats! Hope the Writing Gods continue to bless you!
Congratulations Clayton!
That is fantastic, congratulations for RECEIVER! Sounds very intersting.
