I am the author of The Darkness Within, this is a mental health memoir a true story about survival and resilience. So many people are struggling in silence due to the stigma that mental health and illness carries. My story hopefully can help people feel less alone.
I just started to read "Unrequited Infatuations" by Stevie Van Zandt. I hope it will be like Michale Des Barres said “I was expecting a great music book with a bit more depth than most. What I got was the Tao Te Ching of Rock biographies! Only it’s Lao Tzu with a fabulous sense of humor! This adventure is metaphysically amazing.”
I just finished "Automatic Pilot" by Bill Taub - It's an excellent book. helps you to get through the muddy waters of how to write a TV Pilot. I highly recommend it and I've read many, many books on screenwriting, but this one set me free to be myself.
Happy New Year Drew. I appreciate your honesty and for you being so brave. I went through something similar with my family. I feel that this is definitely something worth talking about over email. Your story definitely has potential for turning it into a movie. What do you say?
Diana thank you so much! Happy New Year! Thank you for your vulnerability and sharing you have gone through the similar experiences. I am currently working with someone to turn it into a screenplay. If you have potential producers for the project that would be amazing! Best, Drew
Hi Amanda, I recommend Ottessa Moshfegh's book titled: Eileen. Especially if you like a good suburban noir tale. It's shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize.
My latest book and debut historical fiction "Angel of Alta Langa" is garnering great reviews. Best of all, my readers are connecting with my characters and don't want to say good-bye to them when they finish the book. If you are interested in the early 20th century history of Piemonte, Italy, particularly during the 30s through the end of the Nazi occupation, my Angel is for you.
I started reading Jamie Renwick's Theresa Maddux's series. If you like hard believable female detective crime series this one is good Green and Ghastly Deep is the first book. I have read the first and second which both in ebook and paperback. I am waiting for the release of the fourth and fifth in paperback. Yeah, it was great enough to collect.
