I wish there were actors and actresses on this website, because I don't get anybody even asking me any questions about the story of Malibu Sunrise. I hope more actors will join this website, not just film crews and directors, or composers -- Vic Alexander vicalexander37@gmail.com
Actor here.... not in Malibu, but I am an actor (I no longer use the term 'actress')
Hi Taylor, that's okay. I only shoot in Hollywood or Malibu, I've shot my best movies in these two locations, Butterflies in the Wind and the Red Queen were shot in the two locations. Stay in touch -- Vic Alexander vicalexander37@gmail.com
Hi there, Vic! I'm an actor myself & I'd love to hear more about your project!
Great to hear from you, Angela. I'm shooting Malibu Sunrise starting on January 2022. It's a PG-13 romantic comedy. Here is the beginning part of the screenplay:
EXT. MALIBU APT. SUNSET.
ALEX 20s sits on the beach with Linda 20s on the beach outside. Their apartment looking at the Sunset.
ALEX
Isn't it romantic -- the Sunset?
LINDA
I prefer being in bed. Why are we even paying rent?
ALEX
I thought you were afraid of getting pregnant.
LINDA
Have you heard of rubbers?
ALEX
Of course I have.
Linda runs to the edge of the water and wades into the surf.
Alex runs after her and they pretend to make love on the beach as the surf splashes over them.
Two couples from the apartment next to their apartment laugh and wave to Linda and Alex.
Alex and Linda kiss and roll over each other, then get up and run to their apartment giggling and laughing out loud.
ALEX
(to his neigborsYou ought to try it!)
INT. CAR DEALERSHIP. DAY
Linda is on the floor selling cars. Customers walk around. Salesmen talk to some of them inside the showrooms and others outside on the car lot.
LIV ALEXANDER 60s sits behind her manager's desk looting at her laptop.
BOB 30s walks in.
BOB
Good morning!
LIV
You wanted to sell the sports cars exclusively?
BOB
Yes, but of course other salesmen could sell them also.
LIV
All right. But you can't interfere with them if a customer prefers to buy from Linda.
Bob fidgets and gets up to leave.
EXT. CAR LOT. DAY
Customers are looking at cars
Linda 20s stands outside. It's a beautiful day. Sunshine. Linda stands outside. It's a beautiful day. Linda doesn't want to approach any customers. She lets them look at at various models. Bob walks past her and smiles to her. She gives him a look.
BOB
Made any sales yet?
LINDA
I'm studying their faces.
BOB
Like any of them?
LINDA
Not as much as my boyfriend's face.
BOB
Oh, good luck then.
Bob walks over to a couple.
A COUPLE STAND BY A STATION WAGON. DAY
The wife ALICE 30s looks at a station wagon. The husband HAROLD looks at the Mustang.
BOB
(To the husband)
Is the car for the family?
HAROLD
The station wagon is for my her. The Mustang is for me.
BOB
Why don't we take the station wagon for a spin?
HAROLD
(To his wife)
Honey, what do you think?
ALICE
Oh, I don't know, Harold, you always wanted a sports car. And the jalopy is still working.
HAROLD
I know, but it's not exactly safe...
ALICE
All right, sweetheart...
Linda stands in the distance pretending not to be looking.
BOB
(To Harold)
Let's take the station wagon for a ride.
EXT. BOB TAKES HAROLD AND ALICE FOR A TEST DRIVE. DAY
Bob drives the car out of the dealership with Alice and Harold. Harold sits in the front passenger seat. Alice sits in the back seat.
Bob drives the car out of the dealership carefully and after a few turns, he stops the car in an ally close to the dealership, and gets out of the car.
Harold slides in the driver's seat and Bob goes around and opens the door to the rear seat for Alice, and Alice gets in the front with her husband. Bob takes the seat behind, and Bob drives off the curb carefully. Alice is quite impressed with how much her husband Harold likes the station wagon.
ALICE
(To her husband Harold with a smile)
You like this car, honey, don't you?
HAROLD
Oh, yeah! It handles real nice. Sweetheart, you should try this, you'll love it.
ALICE
Oh, I know I will. And it will be great for the children.
HAROLD
(Worried)
Children?
ALICE
I thought you said we'll have children and I'll get them a dog.
HAROLD
Oh, yeah. I had a dog when I grew up, it stayed on the farm after I went to college.
ALICE
We'll have the log in the back of the station wagon when the children come.
HAROLD
Yeah, I love the way you think, sweetheart. I know now I've married the right girl.
Bob notices that Harold is on the freeway now.
HAROLD
I can write up the contract at your home if you like Harold?
ALICE
(Worried, smiling stupidly)
Oh, honey, did you hear that?
HAROLD
Ahhh, yeah. Bob, we are not in that of a hurry, we don't even know how much this car costs.
BOB
Of course, exit here and pull over to the curb when when you're on the first street ... there's the exit.
EXT. HAROLD PULLS THE STATION WAGON TO THE CURB. DAY
Harold jumps out of the driver's seat, and Bob sits next to Alice. Harold sits in the back, with a worried look.
BOB
I noticed you enjoyed the ride. I'll take us back to the dealership and then I'll answer all your questions.
ALICE
Thank you, Bob. This is a great car. I liked it much better than our old station wagon.
EXT. DEALERSHIP. BOB DRIVES THE STATION WAGON BACK IN. DAY
Bob and Alice and Harold come out of the station wagon after Bob parks it. Liv Alexander is standing in front of the dealership and smiles to them. She waves to them.
The three, Alice and Harold followed by Bob the salesman.
Linda holds a hand over her mouth so as not to laugh at the worried look on Bob's face. The car has now a hundred miles on the tachometer and it might have to be sold as a used car.
INT. LIV ALEXANDER'S SALES MANAGER'S. OFFICE. DAY
Liv asks waves for Alice to sit, Harold sits next to her and smiles. Bob sits to one side smiling sheepishly.
LIV
So you liked the car? That's wonderful! So now you want to know if you're qualified to buy it? Bob, take them to your office and fill out an application for the station wagon, if they want it.
Liv stands up and Harold helps his wife Alice to go out of the office and follow Bob the salesman.
I'm shooting in January 2022. I will let you know as soon as I get in pre-production. E-Mail me your cell phone number if you like -- Vic Alexander
Vic, I am one of the actors on this site. But I'm an East coaster so not helpful for your current project. I'm sure if you put out a post asking for actors you will find more than you need.
Sir Myself is Rajiv from India. I have done acting course and got the best actor award too.i love acting.
Vic, I'm an actor & on this site! Can I be candid? I don't want to turn folks off by saying, "Hey, I'm an actor & want to know you for the sake of perhaps being cast in your project(s)!" That would be a misunderstanding. I REALLY want to converse with others in this business. If in the process of getting to know each other, & if those "others" see my reels & find that I "fit" (type & talent-wise) their projects, THEN I'd love to work with them!
Vic, have you thought about shooting your romcom on the East Coast? I don't mean NYC - too costly. I'm thinking Philly. Great locations. FAR less costly. Good food. Good talent pool. Just a thought...

Vic Alexander Hi! There are lots of actors on the site and if you'd like to find the ones listed, you can click on the Browse link, Members, then do an occupation search to see who has it in their bio. And I'm so happy to hear you're doing a rom-com! I miss a good rom-com.
