Hey All.
I've been really nervous due to I have done a written pitch with Scott Schulman via this platform and it's my first pitch. It's still stuck in "Review Progress Mode" my anxiety is up the roof lol.
Has anyone done any of the written pitch sessions before? If so what is it like?

Best thing to do is try and distract yourself from awaiting the pitch session feedback, maybe start thinking about your next project idea, or going for a walk in a different direction to normal.

Luke Pierce Good idea, I'm currently working on two projects anyway. One with a friend and the other is a new short film idea. I honestly don't know what happens after the feedback from the pitch so that's what's worrying me the most lol.

I've done one. It took longer than I expected but was within the identified timeframe. I agree with Luke, work on something else, the review will eventually show up.

Hi Michael. I just did. I've submitted two - on 11/9 and 11/14. The one from 11/9 came back Friday, 11/19. Haven't heard from the other yet. It was helpful and motivated me to keep working. I'm eager to hear from the other as well. Good luck!

I did a written pitch, my only one in fact as I like verbal pitches better or script consulting and I heard back within 5 days as the producer requested a meeting with me. Verbal pitches I have heard back anywhere from one day to two weeks. Some other platforms have a 3-day turnaround. Congrats and hope it goes well!!!

Keep in mind - and S32 stresses this alot - pitches are for educational purposes only. So most likely the feedback will be about how effective the pitch is, NOT about whether or not the reader will want to see the script.
Mitigate your expectations, and the anxiety decreases.
I know we see some successes come from pitches (read requests, etc.), but given the vast amount of pitches that are paid for, these successes represent a VERY small percentage.
And, finally, the feedback is only one reader's opinion. NOBODY has a lock on what is good and bad in this biz. Like William Goldman said
"Nobody knows anything...... Not one person in the entire motion picture field knows for a certainty what's going to work. Every time out it's a guess and, if you're lucky, an educated one."
So, again, don't expect too much.

Kacee I did that and the support team was great. They provided me with a free pitch of my choice for inconvenience, but up to date I still have not received a review. We are 14 days over

Surina if you did a verbal pitch just go ahead and call or text him, if you did a written pitch then just email and ask or have someone on this platform follow up! If you do not feel confident about these three options, then just move on to the next pitch and I am sure Scott will eventually get the feedback to you! Best!
