Hi everyone!
I've been a little MIA for a couple of weeks but I'm back and I've been on Stage32 for a couple of years now and I love this place and the whole team!
I've met some really great and cool people, some of which I actually work with now and have gotten to know really well. That's why I love Stage32.
Lately I've actually been missing shooting stuff like films or music videos because I've been working a lot on commercial shoots.
Which is actually good since that means we're working and getting payed but at the same time I miss the creativity and freedom when doing a film or music video, not that there is no creativity involved with commercials but still.
Next month we're shooting two, one of which will be really funny.
I'm attaching one that we did at the beginning of the month and it's actually a huge project since there are multiple different videos that we shot over a few days and took more than a month and a half to do the post production.
Anyway I'd love to meet some new great people and see what everyone is up to.
So leave me a comment and let's chat.
Other than the commercials which I'm working on, we're also developing a feature comedy that we'd like to shoot next summer here in Slovenia and working on developing two different tv shows for a local streaming service, as well as we're looking for financing of a triler feature that we're looking to shoot in the US.

Hey Vital, Happy New Year to you. Sorry for the late response :) Working on a couple short film projects for 2022... lots to do. Hope your projects are coming along nicely :)

Thank you Solange Plaza and don't worry about it.
That's great! What kind of stuff are you working on? Anything you can share? :)
Well some of the commercial projects are opening up which is good financially at the same time none of the really fun narrative projects are ready to shoot yet.
But at the same time I found the time to rewrite a screenplay I've been working on which is great.
It's so funny because I've been trying to rewrite it for a long time but somehow couldn't until I decided to switch languages from my native thong to English and then it just kind of took off.

All your stuff sounds great Vital Butinar ... I am currently in pre-production for a short comedy about a little girl who dreams of entering a singing competition and another short in the works about domestic violence... not sure when it will be completed though.

Oh waw Solange Plaza that's great. Both sound interesting, although the domestic violenc one might be heavier right?
It's funny because the screenplay I'm rewriting from the first draft is actually based on a true story that's so weird and screwed up that it just called for a comedy adaptation. It's about teen stupidity and making the wrong choices when it's clear what should be done, happiness and almost death which coupled with day to day stuff that happens make for a really funny story.
I'm kind of trying to get that nostalgic America Pie, Road Trip, Euro Trip, Surfer feel to the film where the story si so outrageous and grotesque that you can but not laugh at the stupidities going on.
I was actually told a true story by a friend and thought that's so crazy that I needed to write a comedy and of course change it and made it even more crazy.
I'm trying to make it locally but the funny thing is the story is transferable to virtually anywhere so I could make it in English and it would be virtually the same thing.
That's why I'm doing the rewrite of the first draft in English and will then translate it back to Slovene when it's done.

You guys have some really doable ideas.Solange Im in Barbados but would love to work in your domestic violence movie. I am a serious advocate against domestic violence.
Happy New Year! Sorry just saw your question. I wrapped up my first lead role in a film - love my past supporting roles of course but this was a cool experience - a very dramatic role. Now after the holidays back at it and looking forward to more great roles - love to work with you in future - stay well :)
Vital Butinar oh that sounds fun, I like true stories they are the best- and of course adding flair to make it even better is the beauty of film.
Hi Keith lovely to meet you, sure thing, let's connect... we are close neighbours after all :)
