Hello everyone,
I have no idea what to write now that I am here. I am new to screen writing but I feel I have finally found what I love.
Born and raised in the Motherland, this food/product photographer/executive assistant/instructor (I wear many hats) hopes to travel the world 'with or without the 'rona' very soon'.
It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance!

Hi Rosemary! Welcome aboard! Great to have you! Congrats on discovering your love, screenwriting! You're joining a large, supportive family here at Stage 32. My advice would be to write about your experiences, things you lived. Those are true, and you already know the facts and words because you went through it. Then you can decide how those experiences fit into a genre...comedy, drama, suspense/thriller, romance, etc. Just my two cents to you. Keep creating and making magic! Reach out anytime!
Audrey-Rose Savard Thanks! mostly comedy for short dramas here. I still have a lot to mean about techniques and more. Nice Name, by the way!
Gustavo Mesa García thank you!
@John Mezes Thank you so much for the tips! I will definitely be reaching out soon. Very much appreciated!

Welcome to Stage32 where others like yourself are here to learn and to support. My best advice that I can give you is to read some good books on the subject of screenwriting. Syd Feld's The Screenplay: The foundations of Screenwriting. Is a good start. Read some books on writing tips. Natalie Goldberg has some good ones. Then begin writing some story ideas. Just writing out the idea no matter how short it is,. Keep writing as much as you can. Write out the story. Then find a screenwriting software that you can type in and rewrite the story. Remember, you can do this.

Rosemary Edor Thanks! I gotta appreciate yours too. Mine is named after a horror film from 1977 (Audrey Rose) and funny enough there's Rosemary's Baby in 1968. I feel like we're gonna be good friends :D

Hi, Rosemary. Welcome. You should start writing about what you know, for example. the first thing you said, I was born in the Motherland. That's very interesting because some people consider Russia the mother land. Maybe you can write about that, why you consider Africa the motherland. and your perspective, you can always change the plot, but writing is all about getting things down on paper and rewriting and editing. It doesn't matter what you write about at first, the first draft is always bad.
Welcome aboard.
