For those unfamiliar with the Ron Howard organization, Impact Networks, they recently issued a submission prompt for this genre using Ted Lasso, Friday Night Lights and Ballers as examples. And while I realize these are popular, I'm wondering who has written or outlined ideas for this genre or had experience with Skydance TV. Like everyone else in this group, I'm a writer who wants to see his work be noticed, though I've yet to write anything similar

While I haven't had a chance to speak to anyone from Skydance TV (or anyone, for that matter), I have outlined a couple of sports-themed ideas for a long-form show. One is about fighting in professional hockey and follows two teammates progressing through a season (training camp through the playoffs). Another outline is about a washed-out American football player who discovers that his DAUGHTER is even more talented at the sport as he was and how he tries to mentor her. Hope you like either of these ideas. If so, hit me up with a message!
Matthew, I'm not part of the Impact team, but simply one of thousands that joined as a member much like Stage 32. Apologies if the wording had you think otherwise. The deadline for this prompt is the 31st and they only accept complete scripts. Having submitted for other prompts I can say from experience that it's important to study all the questions and write and edit answers repeatedly.
