Introduce Yourself : Hello Colleagues. by John Goldsberry

I just migrated over here from the Theatermakers studio, where I've been, and still am, working on a musical. I spent 40 plus years as a professional musician but my first love had always been film. At age 13, Peter Bogdanovich used my dad's shop as a field office during the shooting of Paper Moon, and after talking with him as I was cleaning up, he must have picked up on my desire to understand the creative process. He invited me to stand next to him while he set up shots of Tatum and took the time to explain why he chose to set it up the way he did. As I set down to write my story, I couldn't help but see his influence in the script. So, now that my project is to a point I'm proud enough to start shopping it around, a fellow Theatermakes advised me to start here. Probably a good idea, as I am socially inept, and know no one in the film industry anymore. You have to start somewhere, right? So greetings and I hope to meet some new friends.
