Harry Potter has a wand. I don't. So - I have this:

Even as a DP, and ESPECIALLY on low budget sets, you need a magic wand to fix things in a hurry. For me that is a multitool!

HELL. MFing. YES!!! Also, why don't I have one?! LOL! And I have my own grip bucket.

Vital Butinar

I've got a couple of these. One in the car, another one in our camera case and one at home in a drawer. Comes in handy.

Also what I've found a simple 5 cent coin (Euros, don't know which one in Dollars) is usually just the right size to tighten those screws at the bottom of the camera. I usually keep one of those in the same pouch as the multitool.

This might not apply to filmmaking but on the one in the car I've also got a small sowing pin stuck to the stitching of the pouch just in case I need to clean the washer fluid nozzles and a pair of matches.
