Made with EbSynth and Davinci Resolve... Anyone else using this to animate?
I can't draw, but love animation. So I've been working with EbSynth to animate over video, and am quite happy with the results. Anyone else using this tech
I need to learn to animate because its pretty expensive when sponsors pay, this looks like a learning tool that might be easy for a novice to operate. Thanks for the share.
Hey Dylan, this is Karen from the Stage 32 team. I just wanted to let you know I moved your post from Your Stage to Animation (since you're discussing what you used to animate), as it fits much better there. Let me know if you have any questions, and all the best to you!
Hey Debbie. I highly recommend going the AI route when you're starting out. Joel Haver has a whole video on how to use EbSynth. He's a funny guy, so worth checking out his videos just cause they're good. But as he proves, for making animation, having a program that toonifies still images from video then using EbSynth to turn that video into animation is surprisingly easy, and it's Free. So win win.
Yes that's right. It uses AI to help animate over live action. Basically it's an AI Rotoscoping tool. But you can take still frames from your video, use a "toonification" software to paint over your image, then feed that into EbSynth and get a very cool animation. I like it because the bar to entry is so low, and the quality output is higher than anything I could draw on my own.
Woah, this looks pretty cool and I can see this being helpful if you're putting together animatic for something. Another tool that could be helpful in 3D is iClone 8 and Adobe Mixamo. Unfortunately, neither is free but with Mixamo, it's so handy to have for animation. I'm planning to try out iClone 8 soon.
I"m fascinated with the the 3d animation world. But not yet ready to take it on. Davinci resolve has a 3D effects maker, and that breaks my brain. But I never thought I'd be able to do this until I did, all it takes is the right tech.
I don't consider myself much of an animator but I definitely appreciate the work that animators do. Fortunately for people like us, there are easy ways to get some basic animations going just to get concepts out, especially with Mixamo. Like you, when I first got into it, it was completely mind-numbing.
It's exciting to see how technology and software can be utilized to push the boundaries of creativity and bring unique animation projects to life. Also, I love to use online resources such as https://essays.edubirdie.com/assignment-writing-service for assistance. I am inspired to explore these tools myself and see how they can enhance my own animation projects, opening up new possibilities for storytelling and visual expression.

I've never heard of EbSynth. Is this also a free software like Davinci Resolve?
