Hello everyone. I'm Deborah Daughetee and I'm a television, short story, and graphic novel writer. I just finished a 1-hour horror pilot and am ready to start marketing... not my strong suit. I live in Las Vegas with my husband. And no, we don't gamble and yes, we do like the heat--except the 116-120 degrees that seem to be happening more and more in the summer. We also have a desert tortoise named Hermoine. I look forward to being a part of this community.

Good to meet you, Deborah Daughetee, and welcome to the community! Oh, man - I was just saying that I like pretty much all genres EXCEPT horror LOL! But that's okay, there's something for everyone ;-) No worries, pitching is kinda what Stage 32 is known for!
Have you put together a pitch for your pilot screenplay as well? I would highly recommend using Stage 32's free Pitching Guidebook to help you structure your pitch, whether it is a 2-page pitch document, a 5-minute verbal pitch, or a 15-30page pitch deck: https://www.stage32.com/sites/stage32.com/themes/two/pdfs/happy-writers/...
If you'd like to practice your verbal pitch, you should definitely check out Stage 32's Writer's Room where we host a Pitch Practice Session every Thursday at 5:30pm PST.
When you're interested to start pitching your project, definitely reach out to our Director of Script Services, Jason Mirch, who is excellent at matching projects with potential executives (or managers, in your case): J.Mirch@stage32.com

Hey Deborah, another Deborah but in LA. I am taking a class right now through Stage 32 on how to write a pilot for a limited series or episodic. Did you take a class before you wrote your script?
Hi LA Deborah! I took a few classes through another service so I could update my knowledge of the industry. I think taking classes is an important part of a writer's arsenal.
