This seems like a fantastic funding resource, thank you for sharing, Kairi Kesa! I have to ask - has there been increased pressure to find more projects to film there since you are so close to the Russian border?

Thank you for your comment, Karen "Kay" Ross . I understand the situation what is going on in Ukraine at the moment, and it does not only affect Estonia, but all countries. Russia is bordered by 14 countries (including Sweden, Norway and Finland). At this moment it does not give you 100% guarantees but Estonia is in EU and NATO. Estonia overall and Ida-Viru County has been unique locations in the northern Europe for years. Since Ida-Viru County has been so popular among filmmakers they are developing new film studios ( done in 2024) there, thats the one of the reasons i wanted to share this :)

Bulgaria borders Russia as well (via sea) still booming of high US productions filming over there (newest TCM was filmed entirely in Bulgaria)...yup, war in neighborhood makes risks, but that's insurance matter, low taxes, low labor and cheaper stand-in locations and local talent make the call I'd say...
