Hello — I am a lifelong movie/TV junkie who has dreamed of writing screenplays for many years. I recently retired from my career as a tech executive and am now starting to pursue writing by actually writing (vs just talking or thinking about writing), learning about writing and talking to writers about their craft and struggles. I'm now a full-time indie publisher and LOVE that I'm writing every day rather than being bone-tired from work and just thinking about it. Yes, visit the screenwriting lounge and look for screenwriting forums on other social media. And, read the how-to books. Subscribe to some screenwriting blogs, too! And classes! So many places to learn.
