It's great to connect on Stage 32. Currently writing a new horror script and getting a presentation ready on writing scene. I find that preparing something to teach someone else, is one of the best tools for learning more for yourself. I have a SCI-FI + Mystery middle grade novel coming to completion, which I'm very excited about. I'm a member of the SCBWI and MWA. I also do children's illustration under the pen name Sunny Sommerset > www.sunnysommerset.com

Nice to virtually meet you Karen. Your illustrations are really great: whimsical, well designed and just looking at them as an illustration, I can see why you head is full of stories. I too began by writing children's stories, (I am NOT an illustrator!) but that evolved into screenplays, and now I'm all over the board with genre: romantic comedy, thriller, full length, then a short, now working on episode 3 of a teleplay ... never tried horror. I will send good thoughts your way for success, but have a feeling you're already there!

Michelle Conklin sounds like you have many, many stories and ideas always percolating. Sometimes there are not enough hours in the day, or days in the week. Good luck on your teleplay - and sending good thoughts on success your way as well. I'd love to hear your progress on it!
For me - I am handling this in one step at a time. On the horror (lovecraftian in flavor) it is going to be a very dark comedy and very women centered on family legacy -- after working on the presentation on scene craft -- I'm busting at the seams to get the feature done. I just keeping picturing the moment that it's ready to be read and I get to pitch it.
