I'm finally stopping by to make a quick post to introduce myself. :) I just joined this site in the last few months and I'm an author who started out writing short stories (four indie published collections) and poems, then moved to novels and plays for theater before deciding to write screenplays as my work got more performative and informed by visual narratives.
Once I decided I wanted to take the leap, I did the UCLA Professional Program in screenwriting last year and LOVED it!
As yet, I've written four feature films that I'm now editing and preparing for contest submissions and will soon seek an agent for both a new novel I just finished and my screenplays (maybe two agents).
I love writing movies with strong roles for women and tend to write high concept films in the suspense/sci-fi/thriller genres but am also co-writing two movies with colleagues right now--one vampire horror and one historical fairy tale.
I have a regular critique group but would like to get to know the community here a bit better. I'm also an independent publisher working on compiling an AUDACIOUS WOMEN anthology and I'm a podcast co-host of the Hot Redhead Media Booktails literary podcast, which pairs author interviews and readings with custom book cocktails.

Weird fact about me #1: I wrote an entire opera libretto entirely in French poetic forms, set in the French Revolution.
Weird fact about me #2: I switch back and forth between highbrow and lowbrow interests with dizzying speed.
