New Here!... though technically not.

Hi, all. Even though I've been a member since December 2021, I'm new here--finally jumpin' in!

I posted up 5 screenplays that I'm pretty happy with but would love for you all to tear them apart and give me some notes!

Just a heads up, I have difficulty instigating conversions, but I really love having them! So please, feel free to reach out.

Happy writing, everyone!

Welcome, C.E., tell. me about the one script you have written that you are most passionate about?

C. E. Simon

Hi, Ilan! Such a tough question (that I've been toiling over for an hour).

I think it would be the pilot to Today's Date. It's sweet, calm, and packed with this undercurrent of sorrow--and I know where that main character is going throughout the series, so I would love to watch that journey.

The show is about a lonely, damaged woman who uses a dating service--with its own hidden agenda--to find love. Each episode has her re-watching the date in virtual reality, which is awesome because she gives running commentary on what's happening, and that can be both hilarious and/or painfully honest. There's also an elimination at the end of each date, and I would really dig knowing people's reactions to the choices made.

I know it sounds like a cop-out, but I'm truly passionate about all the scripts I have posted. Vertigo has this great, sick feeling, just dripping with horrible, upsetting obsession. The Very True Existence of Susannah and Her Friends is Alice in Wonderland insanity coated with addiction. Shelf Life is dark and gritty and irreverent, with the weirdest plot and eccentric characters. And Life As It Should Be is deeply personal but, admittedly, probably the least widely enjoyable.

Thanks for reaching out! Is there anything you're looking for? Maybe I could recommend one of my scripts to read based on what you enjoy!

CE have you considered having someone on our platform professionally read and assess you script from a Hollywood insider that gets what it takes to have a grat. script along with feedback?

C. E. Simon

Ilan, yup! I actually ordered coverage for the pilot Shelf Life yesterday.
