I am currently working with a producer on my pilot and moving towards shopping the pitch deck. Is now the time to retain an agent or will an agent still want an option agreement before signing new writers? Thanks for any feedback.

Dan is correct, once someone makes the offer getting an agent is easy. Just call an agency, tell them you have a TV pilot/show, and an interested buyer and the receptionist will connect you to an agent.
