Hey there fellow producers! I'm in the thick of producing my first ever comedy special and I was curious if anyone else on here has ever produced a comedy special themselves? This one is for an up and coming Just For Laughs comedian named Faris Hytiaa. He's a witty and sarcastic Black comedian with a great voice for the stage. Our current production features a hybrid narrative/stand up mix with serious narrative elements intercut into the special that inform the comedy on stage. We've completed principal on the narrative and are now moving to rehearse and shoot the stand up segments across 3 nights and 2 venues. Ambitious I know but that's what we've signed up for.
