It's been a while since a movie I wrote got made, but back in the early aughts I had three in a row produced by the -then newfound Hallmark Channel, including "Santa Jr.", which was the channel's very first Christmas movie. The tongue-in-cheek business book I co-wrote a dozen years ago, "I Hate People!", got published in 7 countries. And this year I got 1st and 3rd place awards from the California Newspaper Publishers Association for my weekly editorial cartoons in the Half Moon Bay Review newspaper. I've also co-hosted and executive produced the 11+ year-old podcast "Succotash". My dayjob, however, is in the branding world, where I do most of my writing one word at a time: Creating trademarks. Some of my work has become household names (literally), including Swiffer, Dasani, Subaru Outback and Forester, Sony Crackle, and dozens of other monikers. Sometime I use that skill set to help friends come up with names for their screenplays…

It's great to meet you, Marc Hershon. You made the names for Swiffer, Dasani, Subaru Outback and Forester, and Sony Crackle?!

Hi Marc, glad to have you in the community! There have been a lot of community members interested in holiday movies lately, I'm sure you'd be a great resource for them! And, love that you are creative and corporate - probably a great combo of left brain and right brain!
