Introduce Yourself : Fantasy story writer by Eyo Obot

Eyo Obot

Fantasy story writer

Hello everyone, I'm Eyo from Nigeria

I'm into fantasy and sci-fi story concepts

I've started working on one story but it's hard for me to balance learning how to write with my animation and art practice

I love to hear from you if you found yourself in a situation whereby you love two creative niches and found it difficult to balance the two of them.

Thanks

Geoff Hall

Eyo Obot Hi Eyo, I’ve not had the same problem as you with regards to animation, but at one point when I decided I wanted to create backstories for my novel, I thought of doing so with a series of graphic novels. This meant using a template on Final Draft that I wasn’t familiar with and when I started using it, it felt really cumbersome and I thought it would stop the creative flow. However, the more I used it, the more I got into the swing of it and went on to complete a couple of projects.

Is your writing difficult because of not knowing how to format your stories into the animation script, or have you in the past developed your ideas by working straight to animation?

I’m sorry I can’t be more helpful, but it’s great to see you here on Stage 32’s Introduce Yourself Weekend.
