Can anyone help me crowd funding or simply fund my upcoming tv

Hi,

My name is Direk Bee, an independent film maker from Talisay City, Cebu, Philippines. I'm currently a freelancer and associated with BisFlix, GoGlow Production and Kilid Kilid Productions. All are non-profit organization which technically it's not profiting nor earning from any film made or release. Here in our place, we do filmming by heart, which non of the talents were paid but only given food and fare. Unless if we wanted to join competition or festivals we save money for Cinematographer and Editors to have a good shots and output.

This time, after more than 2 years in this field, I don't want to be stagnant with my talent and creativity. I know I have a lot to offer in the industry, all I have to do is to make it happen. Sometimes, it's hard or impossible to start something specially if all you've got is yourself, your dreams and your faith. But I always believe that I'm meant for something big.

I'm actually about to launch my own tv or channel which I will call dbeetv. And it's on the works. I just wanted to ask if what I need to know to help me fund it whole heartedly that people won't be force to give but will offer as help, since I'm not good at finance. In return, I will try my very best to give them a show.

I hope someone would help me or care to give an opinion. I don't ask much, a dollar is already worth a fund. In addition, for everyone's reference here's my imdb. https://pro.imdb.com/name/nm13287337/?ref_=tt_fm_dir

Thank you and God bless you all.

Hi Direk, nice to meet you! You are so thoughtful in your request and we have a lot of resources on Stage 32 that can help you. Your ask is a little different, as most creatives here are looking to fund a film not a channel - but the process is still the same. Do you have a pitch deck and budget prepared to know your costs? You mentioned that you work with a lot of non-profits, are there any funders on those boards who would be willing to help provide you seed money?

Here's a fantastic webinar about gaining an investors trust, that will outline the tools you will need >> https://www.stage32.com/webinars/Gaining-Investors-Trust-and-Money

You can do this, you're already halfway there! :)

Matthew Parvin

Welcome, Direk! Nice to meet you. Glad you're here. Sounds like you have a cool situation in place. You have people who believe in you and your talent.

Shellie Schmals thank you so much for welcoming and noticing my post. For the pitch deck, yes I do have one, it was intended for my short film application. Regarding the cost, I don't have the summary of it as of the moment since everything is still in development stage. I'm trying to compose and aim to ask more help for me to be able to make this happen, which I strongly believe I can. And for non-profits, yes there was, but the amount would only go directly to the cinematographer and editor, which sometimes, us the cast and crew also contribute even a small amount just to complete the required for one film to be finish in post production.

I'll check on the link and I thank you very much for offering me this options, appreciate it a lot. :)

Hello @Matthew Parvin , yes it is indeed but as of the moment most of them were busy and I can't invite them for any shoot since they have priorities. As much as I love to shoot now but all I can do as of the moment is a one man show that would ease my enthusiasm in filming which required a lot of patience and planning to have an appealing and captivating results.

Hi Direk Bee - this would be a great question for Ryan Little - he's doing an AMA right now in the Filmmaking / Directing Lounge >> https://www.stage32.com/lounge/directing/Ask-Me-Anything-AMA-11-11-to-11-12

Direk Bee

Hello Shellie Schmals thank you so much for this. I already sent some inquiry to Ryan.
