I flipping loved the cinema stomping blockbuster Top Gun Maverick, it delivered a sequel worthy of its origins in every way but I wondered if it was actually a better film...
With that in mind I decided to hold both films up, pitting Joseph Kosinski and Tony Scott directing chops against one another.

My two cents: When I first joined the Navy (Naval Aviation)...the Original Top Gun provided the allure of a non-existent fantasy that drove attitudes etc...the second film brings to contrast the reality of that world - less the still fantastic adventure-filled storyline.

Amanda Toney it was a tough fight between Kosinski and Tony Scott. In the video above I chose not to get technical but instead looked at techniques both directors would have had access to at the time of filming and literally gave points!
