Hi guys. I'm an Irish based producer and on the look out for 10 min max short film scripts. This is for a short film comissioning scheme. Scripts have to be award winning or headed there as the competition is very competitive. If you've Irish roots, more the better but I'm willing to run with the strongest scripts I can get my hands on. It's a lot of time putting a package together for this scheme so l;ooking for writers that are easy to work with and know their craft. Payment is purely on winning the commission and relative to the budget for the whole production. If this is something you think we could easlily get past the readers with your work and to the interview stage lets chat. All the best
Rob

This sounds great, Rob Kelly! You can search for short scripts here: www.stage32.com/loglines
"*Scripts have to be award winning or headed there as the competition is very competitive." Does that mean short scripts that have potential to win awards?

I'm Macedonian, which makes me about 1/8 Celtic on a long run...aside that I really dig stout...I have a few short scripts...

Hi Maurice Vaughan Yes.. competition is fierce in this scheme.. Been applying for 20 years, script goes through 3 readers and 10 selected for interview, 3 awards handed out. Only managed to get to 1 interview which we didn't get to convivce them to give us the funding...

Hi Rob Kelly The funding schemes in Ireland are . . .brutal! Been through one with a feature - leave your ambitions and dignity at the door. I've only ever entered one short script into a competition years ago, for the same purpose of getting favourable reviews when it came to funding (the script won, but it didn't help with funding) - ended up going down the self-finance/crowdfunding route.
Ok, thanks for letting me know, Rob Kelly. I might have a script. I need to rewrite it. What's the deadline?
