Hi, I would like to introduce myself. I am an English author of romantic/crime novels.
My first novel, Aeternum. The Templeton-Miller Dynasty is the foundation book to my trilogy being published shortly. For my younger readers I write detective novels called Hey! It's Me! These books are aimed towards 7-12 year olds. The first book is also being published at the moment.
Book six for my adult readers is set to be released in the autumn - Victoriam.
Yes, I am a busy bee. I used to be a Procurement Executive, working in Italy and the UK. Yes, a high flyer until Multiple Sclerosis became part of my life. I am now retired from my role and it allowed me to create my page turner novels. I am not in a wheel chair but I do suffer from fatigue, so it is important for me to plan my stories in advance. My home office is full of files and these contain my stories.
The Templeton-Miller Dynasty series will finish the series at book six.
Hey! It's Me! There are another five books to follow.
And then there is another path of six thrillers following the Templeton-Miller Dynasty books.
I feel the number six is a key figure for Cooper-Elliot. She will alway finish a book series at six.
It is a shame I didn't retire at sixty six as planned, but retiring at a younger age opened the door for my writing.
Always stay positive and never give up.
AK.

Hi AK it's nice to meet you! Sounds like you really have a handle on long-term arching outlines and plans. I'd love to hear any thoughts you have on starting to attack a grandiose story idea in order to break it down and make the goals achievable.

Welcome to the community, AK Cooper-Elliot. I like the cover for "Aeternum. The Templeton-Miller Dynasty." It reminds me of "Chinatown."

Thanks everyone. Hi Niki, my ideas relate to experiences I have seen. If anything interesting happens I just scribble it down into my note book. Working high up in corporate is an eye opener. Firstly- observe. Secondly- write notes. Thirdly- create. My stories come to me quite easily and to create my characters is also easy. The scenario- create a plot and place your character into it. Work through the story and produce a great ending.
Start- birth of a character. Middle Principle Text- crisis of a character. Ending- death of a character.
Using this theme. Start- a situation is created. Middle - the situation is uncontrollable. Ending- the situation is secured by the hero.
My attack on my story - the character is born into a world of wealth. Middle Principle Text - the character is now famous struggling in a world of betrayal. Ending - the character's life is matured and she is powerful, rich and ready to say goodbye to the world.
Goals - to keep the reader interested. Villian - the character's manager. Plot - swindles millions from her. Result - his death.
My story is full of twists and turns. Even my children's books have the twists. I believe that is my style of writing. I want my readers to be on edge and read the next page.
Ideas - a combination of working with powerful people and historical events .
I call it my ABC blocks. A- start. B- middle. C- ending.

AK Cooper-Elliot Hi AK, I’m so sorry to hear about the MS. How are you coping with it? Fatigue is difficult to handle, but I love that your passion for storytelling continues to flourish. I wish you every good thing.

Hi Geoff, thank you for your kind words. I am coping with my MS very well. Staying positive and exercising does help. I try to use mind over body. Don't get me wrong when I am ill...I am ill. Relapses are not fun. My writing takes me away from the sudden changes that entered my life. I admit nearly missing flights and meetings I do not miss. I would say that is a blessing. Like I say carry on upwards and onwards.
