Hi All,
I'm Barry, an Irish screenwriter with a passion for horror. I'm new to Stage32.
I've written two features so far and they've placed in a few competitions which is encouraging.
I'm writing a short screenplay at the moment and outlining feature three. I'm looking forward to making new connections here.

Maurice Vaughan It's outlined with the first couple of scenes written. A week or so for the first draft, I'd say.

This sounds fun, Barry! I’ve just finished scoring some horror/thriller shorts - SO much to get your teeth into!

Cool, Barry. I'm in a similar boat as you. I'm writing a feature script about invisible zombies. I have some of the script written, and I should be done with the first draft in a week or so. The feature script started as a short script.

Maurice Vaughan Nice! Gotta be careful of that scope creep though ;)

What do you mean "Gotta be careful of that scope creep though," Barry Hollywood?

Maurice Vaughan Only that you said the feature script started as a short script. The scope of that one crept up a bit. I once started a short story and ended up with a 40k novel draft so I'm extra careful now.

Oh ok, Barry Hollywood. All of my feature spec scripts end up being around 90 pages, so I'm not worried. Thanks for the warning though.
