Greetings to all. Just completed a screenplay for a director friend. Next up, drafting a script from one of my unpublished novels. My published work can be found at www.johnkerrbooks.com. An epic series of 4 stand-alone novelsĀ set in CA that tell a tale of greed, revenge, murder and family. Have a great weekend!

Good luck with everything. I set about turning my main projects into screenplays a few years back and it's been an.......interesting......journey thus far! Best of luck with everything.

Thanks, Tobey. Used to write scripts exclusively back in the 90's. Switched to straight prose and novels. It offers a larger canvas and no hard and fast format restrictions to interfere with the creative process. Going back to screenplay conventions do have good points. I can knock out a draft in 2 weeks as opposed to 3-4 months for a novel.

Thank you, Maurice. Would love to see "The Bear" series picked up as a mini-series by Netflix, Amazon, etc. The story arc of the 4 novels goes from the Bear Flag Revolt of 1846 to just before Charlie Manson's killing spree in '69. Taylor Sheridan doesn't have anything on me, except a great deal with Paramount. Ha! Ha! Have a great weekend.
You're welcome, John Kerr. Your series covers a lot of time, which makes me wanna watch it! Hope you find the right home for your series. Have a great weekend too.
