Introduce Yourself : Director | Writer | Filmmaker by Brendan Cleaves

Brendan Cleaves

Director | Writer | Filmmaker

Hello there! I'm a UK-based writer and director who has made eight short films after starting out in promos and music videos. My films have had tremendous success on the festival circuit, having been screened at over a hundred festivals, and I'm proud to say that I've won several awards, including being nominated for the prestigious Méliès d'Argent four times. Currently, I'm hard at work on my sixth spec feature script, and I'm eager to make my first feature film soon. While I've been attached to a few projects in the past that didn't quite come to fruition, I'm now seeking out passionate producers who share my artistic vision and want to collaborate. If you're interested, check out my films at http://brendancleaves.com/films. Thanks for your time!

Nice to meet you, Brendan Cleaves. What genre is your first feature film gonna be?

Amanda Toney

Sounds like you’ve had a great career so far…now it’s time for that feature! What are some movies or directors that inspire you?

Geoff Hall

Hi there Brendan Cleaves how is life in London? Congrats on your successes. I live and write in Bristol.

Brendan Cleaves

Feature will most probably be horror or comedy, or both. I just watched Renfield, thought that was super fun. Fan of John Carpenter, The Thing, big trouble in little China etc. David Fincher - Fight Club, Seven. ;)

Congratulations Brendan and good luck! Keep us posted!

Cool, Brendan Cleaves. I think you should go with Horror Comedy. :D "The Thing" is one of my favorite Sci-Fi Horror movies. I saw the trailer for "Renfield." Looks funny. Nicolas Cage is all over the place.
