The question I have is in the spec script I am writing is a film that will include performance-based choreography practices and showcases vitial to characthers and story beats. My question is "How to write choreography in a screenplay" Or should I just describe it in the action lines and let the director / choreographer for the actual film handle that. Thank you , I can elaborate more if needed.

Lotta scripts dealing with that, "Black Swan", dunno, maybe "Babylon", etc...but the thing is those are mostly production scripts, images been made even before the writing...so it's best u stumble upon some specs of the genre...maybe read-a-reads from peers...

I think it depends on your experience and clarity. I'm a martial artist so I can write it into the script with detail. I'd never try it with dancing. Aside from that, I'd keep it general unless there's something of importance that forwards the story.

Here's the opening number for LA LA LAND:
Drivers leap on car-tops, dance Jerome Robbins-style, making
use of the road and the hot gleam of the automobiles. Arms
swaying, feet banging, dancers darting, as the MUSIC blasts.
We WEAVE and SWIRL and DART between and around the cars,
taking the magic in...
Finally -- all the drivers swing back into their vehicles --
and the song comes to a dramatic stop.

Thanks much @Kiril Maksimoski @Leonardo Ramirez @Larry Guzman
I am currenlty reading Black Swan's screenplay for review and the la la land example is helpful. My issue/worry is that my story is about Contortionist and a big performance in the story is vital to the overall story so I want to make sure it sounds good and well put together so if it sells that it can be brought to life with meaning.
